Dear Friend;
We had a fabulous turnout at the workshop last Saturday at the main library! More than 60 people attended and shared dozens of ideas for improving Burlingame. People were enthusiastic and energetic, and many volunteered their time to help with future projects.
Suggestions ranged from promoting small business ownership and improving the citys Web site to starting a Burlingame Boosters organization and hosting an annual Pet Parade on the Fourth of July. The group identified five major goals:

The City Council is beginning to plan the citys budget for 2004-2005 and will have to make some tough decisions about spending. I would like to hear from you about what your priorities are. If you have ideas for increasing city revenues, Id also like to hear them.
