Dear Friend:

It’s that time again! It’s campaign season in Burlingame, with five candidates competing for two seats on the Burlingame City Council. I’ve worked hard on your behalf during the past four years and would certainly appreciate your support in my re-election campaign.

Do let me know if you would like to have your name included on my list of endorsers. (Your spouse, too!) Would you like a sign in your yard? We will be happy to deliver one. If you can write a few postcards to friends, urging them to vote for me, I would be most grateful. And if you can send a check to help cover the campaign expenses, that would be great.

We are looking for a few more people to walk precincts. If you are interested, please send an email to Lisa Rosenthal at lisaedit@pacbell.com or call (650) 340-9411.

Click here to offer your support online. (You can even pay online by credit card or PayPal via a secure link!)

You can learn more about me  and read the list of people who have endorsed me to date on my Web site at www.terrynagel.com.

Here’s a list of important dates to add to your calendar:

  • Wednesday, October 3 - 7 p.m. – Nagel for Council Coffee at Il Piccolo Caffe, 1219 Broadway, Burlingame.
  • Saturday, October 6 - noon - Come to Washington Park (near the Recreation Center) for a free barbecue lunch provided by Shinnyo-en. It's a Community Picnic in honor of our Centennial. Entertainment continues until 3:30.
  • Sunday, October 7 - 1 to 2 p.m. - Come to Washington Park to participate in the Centennial Scavenger Hunt - lots of fun! If you complete this walking tour within two hours, you will be eligible for a prize. It was planned by a professional scavenger hunt creator who just happens to live in Burlingame and donated her services.
  • Saturday, October 13 - A new tree will be planted at 9:30 a.m. on Easton Drive near the spot where “Tom” was removed. It’s the kick-off of a campaign to plant more street trees with funds from a state grant.
  • Wednesday, October 17 - 7 p.m. - Candidates' night sponsored by League of Women Voters, 7-9 p.m., Council chambers
  • Tuesday, October 23 - 7 p.m. – Burlingame High School – Students will question the candidates, and former Supervisor John Ward will moderate.
  • Wednesday, October 24, 7 p.m. – Nagel for Council Coffee at Il Piccolo Caffe, 1219 Broadway, Burlingame
