Dear Friend:

San Mateo County Elections Office records show that as of Friday November 2nd your absentee ballot has not yet been returned.

I’m writing to let you know how you can make sure your vote is counted and how to find our election results as they happen on Election Night.

I also want to urge you to support me for re-election to the Burlingame City Council. For information about my record and my aspirations for our city, please see my Web site at www.terrynagel.com. In addition, I urge you to support Dave Pine and Stephen Rogers for election to the San Mateo Union High School District and to vote “yes” on Measure A, which will support badly needed improvements in the Burlingame Elementary School District.

If you’ve already mailed in your ballot, you can go to the county’s official election site, SmartVoter.org,  to find out to Track and Confirm receipt of your mailed-in ballot.

If you haven’t yet mailed in your ballot or if it has not yet been received by Election Day, you can go to your usual polling place or any polling place in San Mateo County to turn in your ballot between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 6. You can also turn it in at the Elections Office at 40 Tower Road in San Mateo or at the County Government Center at 555 County Center, 1st Floor, Redwood City. There are also absentee drop boxes in every City Hall in San Mateo County.

If there is any question about whether the county has a record of your vote, you can request a “provisional ballot” at your usual polling place.  It will be counted once election officials determine that your absentee ballot was not turned in.

Have you been called out of town on Election Day? Too busy to vote Tuesday? You can vote today (Saturday) until 3 p.m. at 40 Tower Road in San Mateo or 555 County Center in Redwood City. You also vote there on Monday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

If you have any questions, you can reach the Elections Office at (650) 312-5222. Feel free to call me anytime at (650) 347-3576 or email me at terry@terrynagel.com.

Thanks for caring about Burlingame!
