Report a Power Outage
It is critical for us to be able to provide PG&E with an accurate report of outages and their impact on our community. Since August of 2013 the City of Burlingame has taken over the responsibility of collecting data on power outages. If you have experienced an outage, please enter the details in their Power Outage Form. You can also use this form to report tree trimming and customer service problems.
At a city meeting on May 28, 2010, that the city manager and I requested with Pacific Gas & Electric, a number of residents raised concerns about PG&E Customer Service Department. They complained about not getting accurate information from PG&E when they call to report outages or when they ask what time power will be restored.
In a subsequent phone conference, PG&E officials described in detail how its customer service system works. Here are a few tips to remember:
